Annual Events

NEW DAY ASSOCIATES would like to introduce you to some fabulous events that happen annually. Our affairs are a celebration of fashion, music, and the success of our wonderful magazines. Our publications target an elite, upscale audience, particularly those in the fashion, music, and publications business. Our events target consumers that shop, travel, network, drive, etc., and also in the business of public relations. Our magazines cover all these events. All sponsors are mentioned in the main headlines. The exposure, and response is international, covering U.S., Canada, Japan, and Europe.

In January we celebrate the MEN'S COLLECTION SHOW for our men's magazine, BLACK MEN.
In 1997 we celebrated our LINGERIE issue, featuring the VICTORIA'S SECRETS COLLECTION SHOW, with the beautiful TYRA BANKS on the cover.    Tyra Banks Cover-Click for a larger image. The MEN'S COLLECTION SHOW, covers the progress in men's fashion, and previews what to look for in up and coming new designers. This show is also a music showcase for record labels such as ARISTA, SONY, MCA, and COLUMBIA.

In the fall season, we showcase the DESIGNERS OF THE YEAR COMPETITION(See picture below). Designers from all over the country have traveled to compete in this spectacular show. The audience is treated to some of the funkiest, new, hot ideas, fresh off of the design table of the freshest new faces in the fashion world! The designers showcase 4 garments, male and/or female, in 2 categories. The first category is Day Wear, which may consist of of spring, sport, or swim wear. The second category is Evening Wear, which consists of formal, suits or gowns, in Couture or Haute Couture fashion. The designs are judged by 7 professional in the fashion business. Past judges have included, Jeffrey Taye of EM magazine, and Dee Simmons of the GRACE DEL MARCO agency. The 1st prize to the best male or female designer is an all expense paid trip to PARIS, LONDON, or ROME!

In April we present the MODELS OF THE YEAR CONTEST. Models from all over the country, including Europe have competed in this electrifying competition.

1st place winner of the Hype Hair natural beauty contest Ms. Tangela Bond from Dallas Texas (next event will be held November 2002 at the Wyndam Hotel located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. 1st place contestant receives a layout in Hype Hair Magazine along with a trip to Cancun, Mexico, all hotel and air accomodations paid).

Some of the hottest new faces have graced our runways including BET video show Terry Ellis-formerly of Envogue with John Blassingamehost Bret Walker, Debra Shaw -collection model for YVES SAINT LAURENT, TOMMY BOXER, etc., Najee and Don Sterling featured in the MEN'S COLLECTION SHOWS, and many others seen in VOGUE, ELLE, PEOPLE, and VIBE magazines. The first prize is an all expense paid trip to PARIS, LONDON, or ROME!
